Tombstone is a high variance slot game from No Limit City and offers genuine edge of your seat excitement. It’s rare to find a game with such massive potential that manages to keep the extended dead periods interesting, but the way this slot is designed will have you screaming for the last reel to come in and give you your big bonus!
There are two separate bonuses on offer during normal gameplay, but an interesting twist allows these bonuses to trigger at the same time.
When a Sheriff and a Marshall badge combine on reels 1 and 5, three Justice Spins are awarded. This is the first of the standard bonuses and although it has potential, it triggers many bonuses that do not give any wins at all. During these spins, any wilds that land are locked into place, along with their multiplier.
The second bonus is triggered by landing 3 scatters in view. This will award 10 Gunslinger Spins. During these spins, wilds that land do not stick but, instead, stack the win multiplier higher and higher. If just a few wilds land within the first few spins, you can see a multiplier of x10 and above, and in this scenario any 5 of a kind wins are going to pay really big.
When both the bonuses combine, by triggering on the same spin, you activate 12 Bounty spins. This allows for wilds to stick and also to stack the multiplier. If the wilds land in kind positions, you can see the bonus playing out at a x9 multiplier with the three locked wilds in the middle positions, guaranteeing every spin is a winner. Landing extra Sheriff or Marshall Badges will award extra free spins.
To compensate for the capability of these bonuses, the base game is often very quiet. It’s not uncommon for 20 or 30 spins to pass without any win at all, but this is obviously an accepted part of the game and the whole time you’re waiting for the big bonus to trigger.
During both the bonus and normal game play, wilds appear on the middle reels, and when landing on outside reel positions will step to the middle and change up to x3. This allow those relatively small base wins to go big, but you really only see this potential in the bonuses
It really does feel this game has bags of potential; and I believe anyone that plays, even on the lower stakes, would be be really excited at the potential of these big bonuses. I think you should be cautious of upping the stake, as clearly Tombstone has the potential to go on long periods without paying any significant wins, but this is a game that definitely competes with the Megaways offerings in terms of bonus potential.
